2020: Trail of Tragedy.

The year of a pandemic,

Marked more tragedy

In god's own country.

And all this new gimmick

Has left little realm

For a foreseen deluge to overwhelm.

First, Mountains moved, sky shattered

Left many lives scattered.

Buried under landslide,  their souls Searching for light.

Amongst the screams and wails

As they moved the mud in pails,

Uncovered the mortal remains of dreams perished.

With no time to recover, fate had more to unleash.

A bundle of misery to release.

In the dark of the night,

Came down a flight,

Carrying a hundred hopes

Aiming for a stretch amongst the slopes.

Coz, storm turned the vision blur,

Skipped half a mile, slipped and slid.

Off the runway and into the valley it skid.

So  traumatic that ones words may slur,

A scene did it  unveil

That turned a million faces pale.

And it rained and rained

for more days and night,

Drowned the land deep,

plunging people into heavy plight.

Sure shall this year's flood

Wash the land with tears of blood.
